Making the Most of Your Plot

This seminar is ideal if you have identified a building plot. You'll meet a team of experts who can advise on whether it is suitable to build on, suggest how we can tailor designs for the plot, explain how to navigate through the planning process, and provide advice on energy efficient construction methods and details on project costing.
This workshop is aimed at those who either own or have identified a potential plot and is intended to provide you with more detailed information on key topics so that you are better equipped to move to the next stage of your project.
We use small groups to encourage interaction and ensure attendees gain the maximum benefit from this workshop.

This section will provide a comprehensive understanding of what can be expected from the planning system and what issues need to be considered when preparing your design brief.
Low Carbon, Low Energy Homes
It will be discussed how to reduce energy consumption using timber frame construction and explain the different levels of performance achievable.
We will demonstrate how existing designs can be modified to create a new individual home and how a bespoke design is created from an initial client brief. Client case study examples will be used to illustrate.
Service & Costs
The process from plot appraisal to supply and erection of the timber frame will be discussed, through to completion of the build. Elements discussed will also include timescales, package content, specification options, customer support and project costing.
